" Teamwork, strategy building and creativity are some of the skills I'm excited to improve on this journey. I know that the impact of the Millennium Fellowship will enable me improve the lives of different children more so the ones coming from low income backgrounds. I'm excited to work with a team of people that share the same vision as I. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: THE CHILDREN INITIATIVE
The Children Initiative is a program designed to
help children whose parents, guardians and
caretakers don't have the capacity to sustain the
children in school. Commonly, such cases occur
when the guardian`s earnings are too little to
sustain the family and hence see education as a
luxury and yet it is a need. The Initiative comes
up to help children living in such communities go
to school just like their peers and this is done by
providing the scholastic materials needed by the
children to enjoy their stay at school and simplify
their schoolwork. The parents are also helped
with the school fees dues. Since this is a
beginning program, we`i've so far been able to
help two children who are in school comfortably
without the worry of being sent home or lacking
the scholastic materials. The Children Initiative
has a goal of creating a project that's going to
help bring in income and continue supporting all
children that are facing the misfortune of not
going to school because their families cannot
support them.
