" I am excited and truly honored to be a Millennium Fellow because it connects me with a community of like-minded change makers and equips me with the skills to turn ideas into meaningful action. I do this work to amplify voices, break down barriers, and create inclusive, empathetic communities, aligning my efforts with the UNAI principles and the Sustainable Development Goals to make a positive impact in Uganda and beyond. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Aruho Project

The Aruho Project creates a safe online and physical community for young Ugandans living with chronic illnesses, neurodivergence, or terminal diagnoses. Advancing SDG 3 and 10, it counters isolation by providing a platform for individuals to share their stories through writing, audio, or art--their way. The initiative transforms personal narratives into a source of power and solidarity, fostering friendship and well-being. It began as a simple conversation between two friends and is now growing, emphasizing that profound change starts with authentic, humble connections and active listening to community needs.
