Millennium Fellowship Project: Zan-Hub
Our project will focus on young generation of Afghanistan girls who has innovative ideas for solving the existence problem in their society. we will create a space where they can share their ideas, get support to develop them, and even win prizes for the best ones. Then, we will try to connect those winning ideas with people who have the resources or skills to help make them happen. It’s all about encouraging girls to dream big and giving them a real chance to bring their ideas to life.
About the Millennium Fellow
Arifa Barati is a dedicated and globally minded undergraduate student at the University of Dubai, pursuing studies in Business Administration. Originally from Afghanistan, currently resides in UAE. She has two years academic background in law. A graduate of the Emkan Fellowship and President of the University of Dubai's Women Council Club, Arifa is passionate about women’s empowerment, education, and sustainable development. Her Millennium Fellowship project focuses on empowering the young generation of women in Afghanistan by helping them develop and showcase their talents — not solely through formal education, but by fostering creativity, skills, and self-reliance. Through her leadership, volunteer work with international organizations, and commitment to community service, Arifa strives to create innovative solutions that address global challenges and advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
