Millennium Fellowship Project: Diptoshikha
Project Diptoshikha (দীপ্তশিখা) is an educational initiative created to ensure that every child in Bangladesh receives equal access to quality education, no matter where they are born or what challenges they face.
The project focuses on supporting underprivileged and marginalized children who often struggle to continue their studies. Through dedicated volunteers and youth mentors, the project provides:
Academic guidance such as tutoring, reading support, and homework help
Life skills development to build confidence, creativity, and discipline
Mentoring and motivation to keep children inspired to stay in school
Awareness programs that encourage families to value education
The name “Diptoshikha” means a shining flame, symbolizing hope, enlightenment, and the transformative power of education. The project believes that education is a right, not a privilege, and aims to make sure that no child is left behind.
Project Diptoshikha aligns with SDG 4: Quality Education, promoting inclusive and equitable learning opportunities for all children.
Overall, it empowers young learners to dream bigger, reach their potential, and build a brighter future through education.
