" I'm excited to be a Millennium Fellow because I believe meaningful change happens when passionate individuals come together with shared purpose. The Fellowship represents an opportunity to amplify impact beyond individual efforts, to learn from diverse perspectives, build lasting networks, and develop the leadership skills necessary to create sustainable change. I do this work because I'm driven by the belief that every person deserves the opportunity to thrive, and I'm committed to being part of the generation that turns that vision into reality. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Kamran

Project Kamran addresses an unprecedented challenge facing an entire generation of children whose educational experiences were fundamentally altered by the pandemic. While learning loss has received significant attention, the emergence of virtual-related learning disabilities represents a deeper, more insidious impact that threatens to permanently disadvantage millions of children if left unaddressed.
This project is not simply remedial education; it is a comprehensive rehabilitation effort that recognizes pandemic learning as a unique phenomenon requiring specialized, evidence-based interventions. By creating assessment tools, intervention protocols, and community capacity that currently don't exist, Project Kamran aims to pioneer a model that can serve children across India and potentially globally.
The Millennium Fellowship's emphasis on student-led initiatives aligns perfectly with this project's grassroots approach. As a student who witnessed peers and younger siblings struggle with the transition back to physical learning, I am committed to creating systemic change that ensures no child is left behind due to circumstances beyond their control.
Project Kamran is more than a project; it is a promise to the children who lost their developmental years to screens that we will help them reclaim their full potential for learning, connection, and growth in the physical world.
