United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Saamavesh
Project Saamavesh is an educational initiative aimed at teaching young children about the negative effects of religious differences in the nation and how education can help overcome these artificial divides. The project specifically targets children from marginalized communities. Over the course of 11+ sessions during the fellowship, it successfully impacted more than 2,000 children from economically vulnerable backgrounds, helping them gain perspective on overcoming communal differences. Creative storytelling and the ability to connect with a broad audience were key to the project’s success. While existing NGO networks were leveraged to reach participants, establishing an independent network could have further expanded outreach if resources had allowed.
About the Millennium Fellow
Kartikeya Shukla is a driven individual from one of the premier institutes, Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, where he is currently pursuing his studies. He seeks to accomplish much in life by adding value to society and creating a meaningful impact through his endeavours. In pursuit of his goals, his efforts are directed towards uplifting himself and those around him. Kartikeya has always embraced the mentality of leading by example and moving forward alongside his team. His proactive nature has enabled him to achieve success in diverse fields, ranging from leadership roles and professional experience across various sectors to authoring multiple publications.
