" I believe that inclusive growth and sustainable development are best achieved when data-driven insights meet human-centered action. The Millennium Fellowship is a chance to learn from inspiring peers around the world, share ideas, and work together on solutions that truly make a difference. I'm excited to grow, collaborate, and contribute in ways that bring us closer to the UNAI principles and SDGs. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Sugam: Bridge to Accessibility
Our project focuses on empowering deprived communities to achieve UN Sustainable Development Goals , specifically SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities.
Through ground-level research, we identified key challenges such as lack of awareness, and financial constraints that prevented families from accessing their rights and welfare schemes.
To address this, we formed partnerships with local NGOs embedded within the same communities, We have:
Educated families about child rights and government schemes
Made a user-friendly website for easy access to welfare schemes and information
Provided toolkits for welfare access
This collective effort simplified access to government support, empowered families with knowledge and resources, and helped children secure their right to education. Over time, the initiative created visible social impact and became a model for how community collaboration can reduce inequality and promote inclusive education.
In essence, Sugam became a testament of empowerment and sustainable change—proving that when communities are equipped with awareness and support, equality becomes achievable.
