" The Millennium Fellowship excites me as it comes with the mentorship, network, and platform I need for shaping my social impact ideas into action. I work in the field I do because I am committed to solving the community’s most pressing challenges in a strategic, community-centered way. This Fellowship is going to help me gain experience with and learn from other problem-solvers, and, in the process, reshape my problem-solving strategies. Collaborating with global peers and experts will help me deepen my understanding of social issues, generate creative solutions, and know how to implement them. I view it as an opportunity for personal growth and also as a way to advance my initiatives aimed at creating meaningful and lasting change. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Skillbridge

SkillBridge is a social initiative focused on bridging the skill gap in underserved communities by teaching children essential academic and life skills. The goal is to empower kids with learning support, confidence, and practical exposure, particularly in technology and digital literacy. Through the project, over 300 children were reached, gaining awareness of AI and technology. Specifically, basic computer literacy such as typing, MS Word, Paint, and internet basics was taught to 250+ children, improving their digital confidence. The initiative also conducted 15+ workshops on safe internet use, cyber hygiene, device navigation, and online etiquette. Step-by-step tech learning modules were designed to simplify concepts like files, folders, browsers, and search engines. Additionally, children were guided in creating their first digital projects, including posters, presentations, and basic code blocks, and trained to use tools like Google Classroom, enhancing their ability to learn independently.
