Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Riwayat
Project Riwayat produces premium eco-bricks made from compressed and treated textile waste. These bricks are durable, lightweight, and modular, ideal for eco-friendly shelters, community infrastructure, and sustainable urban projects. Unlike red or fly ash bricks, Riwayat’s eco-bricks target the green construction segment, where low carbon footprint, waste reduction, and social impact are non-negotiable. Each brick diverts 1–1.5 kg of textile waste from landfills while supporting women-led production chains, delivering environmental, social, and functional value in every unit.
About the Millennium Fellow
Vidita Bajaj is a dedicated and enthusiastic Economics student at Miranda House, University of Delhi, North Campus. She passionately supports women’s rights and animal rights, actively participating in AAVYA, an animal welfare organisation, and Enactus, where she started a project to reduce textile waste. With a love for tennis that began in her childhood, she has grown into a resilient, disciplined, and focused woman. She aims to pursue a career in consulting, combining her analytical skills, leadership qualities, and dedication to help organisations develop impactful solutions.
