" I am driven by the belief that environmental change begins with committed individuals who are willing to act. My journey, from being recognized as the best student in environmental conservation to participating in impactful sustainability projects, has shaped my vision for the future. As a Millennium Fellow, I can strengthen that vision, build partnerships, and help achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: GIRLS for GREEN LEADERSHIP

Girls for Green Leadership (GGL) is a youth-led environmental initiative aimed at empowering young girls in schools and universities to become eco-leaders and climate action advocates in Tanzania. The project will establish eco-clubs, conduct sustainability competitions, launch awareness campaigns (both in-person and via social media), organize confidence-building sessions, and implement community clean-up drives. By engaging young women and their peers, GGL seeks to create a culture of sustainability and environmental responsibility that continues beyond the project.
