" As someone driven to bridge the gap between science and rural health, the Millennium Fellowship is not just an honor—it’s a launchpad. It empowers me to transform the challenges of underserved communities into opportunities for innovation, leadership, and lasting impact. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Empowering Students on Personal Hygiene and Skills

Our project, Empowering Students on Personal Hygiene and Skills, focuses on teaching Basic and Junior High School students the importance of hygiene and simple life skills. We visit schools to run interactive sessions on handwashing, menstrual hygiene, oral care, body cleanliness, communication, and time management. We also train peer ambassadors to continue the education in their schools. So far, we’i've reached over 150 students and seen improvements in their confidence and hygiene practices. Our goal is to promote good health, support quality education, and help build a culture of cleanliness and responsibility among young people.
