Millennium Fellowship Project: Jibril for You

JFY (Jibril for You) seeks to reduce the educational gap between students in urban and rural areas by ensuring equitable access to mentorship, educational resources, and scholarships for brilliant students in underprivileged communities. The project targets young, talented students who face systemic barriers to quality education.

JFY has made significant progress in bridging educational inequalities in Ghana. The team conducted research to identify underserved regions and engaged with individuals from these areas to understand the challenges they face in accessing higher education. While still in its early stages, the project has provided valuable insights into the regions and students most in need, laying the groundwork for future interventions.

These efforts have the potential to positively impact the lives of underprivileged students by providing access to quality resources, mentorship, and opportunities. The next steps involve leveraging this research to develop targeted programs and partnerships that further support these students’ educational journeys.
