United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Umbrellas for Children
Umbrella for children is a project focused on raising awareness among the youth for 3 main issues; student mental health and destigmatisation, antimicrobial resistance climate change awareness. This is through online workshops, social media posts and in person outreaches such as visiting primary and secondary schools or interviewing university students on campus.
About the Millennium Fellow
Adelaide Sika Aboraa is a young lady born in Ghana, West Africa. She is currently pursuing her undergraduate in Bachelor of Arts Political Science at the University of Ghana. Since childhood, Adelaide has been passionate about advocacy mainly pertaining to education, gender issues, climate change and justice. This drive has enabled her to cultivate the habit of educating her people in Ghana and worldwide. With this, Adelaide is competent enough to work with the UN in partnership with Millennium Fellowship to see to it these goals will be achieved.
