United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Umbrellas for Children

Umbrella for children is a project focused on raising awareness among the youth for 3 main issues; student mental health and destigmatisation, antimicrobial resistance climate change awareness. This is through online workshops, social media posts and in person outreaches such as visiting primary and secondary schools or interviewing university students on campus.

About the Millennium Fellow

Kwasi Adjei-Fordjour is a second-year Business Administration and Accounting student at the University of Ghana. Born and raised in Ghana, he is passionate about learning and driving positive change through active participation, service, and innovation. As a Millennium Fellow, he is committed to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in his community and beyond. His academic journey is fueled by curiosity, determination, and problem-solving, while his extracurricular work reflects a belief in seizing opportunities and creating impact. Kwasi seeks to leverage this fellowship to amplify his impact, collaborate globally, and foster sustainable social transformation.
