United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: INTERNAFRICA

InternAfrica is a transformative platform connecting young African talents with impactful internship opportunities across diverse industries. The project bridges the gap between academic learning and professional experience by providing students and graduates with real-world exposure, skills development, and mentorship. Through strategic partnerships with companies, NGOs, and government agencies, InternAfrica empowers the next generation of African leaders to thrive in the modern workforce.
Measurable Goals (Aug–Dec 2025):
Facilitate 100+ internship placements for students across Ghana and selected African countries.
Host 3 capacity-building workshops on career readiness, CV building, and workplace skills.
Onboard 20 partner organizations to provide quality internship opportunities.
Launch a digital platform to streamline applications, matching, and tracking of internships.
Achieve 80%+ satisfaction rate from both interns and host organizations through feedback surveys.

About the Millennium Fellow

Nicholas Gyimah is a passionate young leader, statistician, and educator dedicated to empowering students and communities through data, education, and mentorship. A Statistics and Economics student at the University of Ghana, he combines academic rigor with a strong drive for social impact. Nicholas has served in multiple leadership roles, including Programs and Projects Director for the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science, president of his alumni group, and mentor to aspiring professionals. His experience spans internships in statistics, treasury, and research, where he delivered impactful analyses, workshops, and stakeholder engagements. A skilled communicator and AI enthusiast, Nicholas uses storytelling and LinkedIn to inspire peers to embrace learning, innovation, and career readiness. His advocacy extends to promoting equity in education for underserved communities in rural Ghana, rooted in his personal experiences. Known for his creativity, empathy, and vision, Nicholas is committed to building bridges that create opportunities for others.
