Millennium Fellowship Project: GreenGen
We want to encourage an efficient recycling culture here on our campus. There are recycling bins but they aren't used correctly. We want to educate people on their use and the importance of waste management and also ensure that the rubbish is actually recycled.
About the Millennium Fellow
Rebecca Kuma is a young medical student driven by the desire to make a positive impact in her community. She was born in Hull, Britain and currently lives in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana where she studies at the University of Ghana Medical School. She is particularly concerned and eager to do something about the sanitation situation in the vicinity around the largest hospital in Ghana, the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. Rebecca is working hard to successfully obtain her medical degree so she can work with the World Health Organization and make a real difference in her country.
