" It is but this year in medical school we learnt about SDGs and how the world is falling short of completing them by 2030. Being useful to my community and making a positive impact to draw more people into such social projects is what has always been a mini mission for me . Being a Millennium Fellow is what is most impactful at this stage in my life paving a road for the future endeavors. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Beat Breast Cancer

So it is basically a project regarding breast awareness campaign. In most of the developed countries the mortality rate has been decreased for this cancer due to early detection,
But in Pakistan due to lack of awareness, women usually present it in the 4th stage, that results in increase mortality rate.
Our main goal of this project is to launch awareness campaigns through social media and campaign in jinnah hospital to increase the awareness.
The main purpose of this project is to promote early detection and to encourage women to recognize early signs and symptoms of breast cancer through self examination and timely medical check ups.

About the Millennium Fellow

Nihal tariq was born on 30th of Nov, 2003 in a rather underdeveloped district in Punjab, Pakistan . She completed her primary and higher secondary education from her hometown Fateh pur, Layyah. Coming from a society where religion is often used as a tool by majority to suppress, oppress and limit the fairer sex ; she was the one to always feel wronged on behalf of all the women of her community. Granted a chance to prove the fascists wrong she's determined to make an impact and let the world how loud, stubborn and too much can a woman be and how it is not as bad a thing . Trust me when I say she's going to nail it.
