" I serve and do what I do because I know firsthand the barriers to health and education, and I believe informed communities are healthier communities. The Millennium Fellowship excites me because it will amplify my advocacy for oral and general health, connect me with a global network, and equip me to make sustainable impact. By aligning my work with the UN Sustainable Development Goals—particularly Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3) and Quality Education (SDG 4)—I can help break barriers and create lasting change for underserved communities. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Oral Health, Key to Wellness
This Millennium Project focused on ORAL HEALTH AWARENESS and the importance of proper dental care for overall well-being. Activities included educating students about correct brushing techniques, the need for regular dental check-ups, and the dangers of poor oral hygiene. Posters were displayed to promote healthy practices such as reducing sugary foods and maintaining daily oral care routines.
The project helped improve awareness and encouraged healthier habits for better oral and general health.
About the Millennium Fellow
My name is Oyeyemi Oluwajomiloju Benedict. I grew up in an average Nigerian Christian home, where resilience and faith shaped my values. Twice, I struggled to gain admission into university, and financial challenges tested my determination—but never my vision. Today, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Dental Surgery while participating in community projects and volunteering. My passion lies in creating massive impact through awareness campaigns and outreaches on oral health and overall well-being. I am committed to using my skills and voice to foster healthier, more informed communities.
