" I do this work because I've seen how a lack of basic health knowledge can cost lives, especially among young people. Teaching skills like CPR, first aid, and emergency response is my way of giving them the power to protect themselves and others. I'm excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it connects me with a global network of passionate change makers, offers space to grow my impact, and helps me turn my vision for healthier, safer communities into reality. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Emergency Response Awareness
Emergency Response Awareness: Empowering Youths to Save Lives is a community health initiative that trains secondary school students to recognize medical emergencies and respond confidently. Through simple demonstrations and practical lessons on first aid, CPR, choking management, bleeding control, and emergency hotlines, the project equips young people with the skills to act quickly and safely before professional help arrives. This initiative strengthens community resilience and supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) by promoting preventive health education among youths.
