" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it gives me the platform to transform ideas into impact, connect with like-minded change makers, and create solutions at the intersection of the SDGs I am passionate about. I do this work because every step I take is fueled by the hope of saving lives, uplifting communities, and leaving behind a world that is healthier, fairer, and more sustainable. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: EcoHealth Harmony
EcoHealth Harmony is an innovative initiative that integrates environmental conservation and health promotion to foster thriving and sustainable communities. The project targets the immediate community of the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus, including both academic and non-academic populations. During the project, two community events were hosted, reaching at least 50 participants, and health and climate education was provided to over 100 students living in hostels. Additionally, an online campaign was launched to raise awareness about the dangers of improper waste disposal. By combining education, sustainable practices, and community-led initiatives, EcoHealth Harmony empowers participants to adopt environmentally responsible behaviors while improving overall community health and well-being.
