Millennium Fellowship Project: Healthy People, Healthy Planet
"Healthy People, Healthy Planet" is an initiative
made to address the relationship between
human health and environmental sustainability.
This project aims to educate its audience on the
impact of the environment on their health; to
promote healthy lifestyle practices, disease
prevention and management of chronic
conditions; to also promote sustainable practices
and foster community engagement. This project
is also aimed at promoting cultural competence
and collaboration amongst healthcare providers
and reduce health disparities.
OBJECTIVES:
1. To improve healthcare access and outcomes.
2. To promote sustainable practices and reduce
environmental degradation.
3. Foster community engagement and education
on health and environmental issues.
OUTCOMES:
1. Increased access to health care services.
2. Reduced carbon footprint and improved
environmental health.
3. Empowered communities with knowledge and
skills to promote sustainable development
About the Millennium Fellow
Charity Ifunanya Reuben is a vibrant, purpose-driven student with a strong commitment to ethical leadership, environmental advocacy, and social development. Born and raised in Nigeria, Charity is currently pursuing a degree in the Pharm.D program at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She is deeply passionate about environmental sustainability, youth empowerment, and community service. Her experiences in student leadership and volunteer initiatives like Rotaract have shaped her drive to create a meaningful impact and aspires to contribute actively in the United Nations' SDGs. Known for her strong communication skills and solution-oriented mindset, Charity brings energy, responsibility, and innovation to every team she's part of. Charity values ethics, teamwork, and continuous learning in her journey toward positive change. One may also say that she is the queen of optimism.
