University of Nigeria Enugu | Enugu, Nigeria | Advancing SDG 5, SDG 4 & UNAI 3

" I believe that equity in gender and education is the foundation for a just society. My work with vulnerable children and young women is driven by the conviction that opportunity should never be a privileged but a right. I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it offers me the global platform to sharpen my leadership, collaborate with like-minded change makers, and scale sustainable solutions that align with the SDGs. I am eager to grow through shared learning and to transform my passion for service into deeper, more measurable impact. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: HerStory
HerStory is a hybrid health empowerment project that amplifies the voices of both women and girls by tackling harmful myths about their health. The initiative works in two arms
1. Adolescent Health (offline focus): conducting school-based sessions on menstrual and reproductive health, distributing flyers/health kits, and building confidence in young girls
2. Maternal Health and General female Health (online-focus): creating digital campaigns and infographics to debunk harmful beliefs about pregnancy and childbirth, such as stigma around Cesarean sections or undervaluing children's health, vaccinations and celebrating the resilience of women.
This blended approach ensures that while young girls are educated at the grassroots, maternal and general women health conversations reach a wider audience online.
MEASURABLE GOALS (AUG DEC 2025)
1. Educate at least 100 adolescent girls in secondary schools on menstrual and reproductive health.
2. Publish 10+ social media posts including infographics addressing myths, facts, and empowerment for girls
3. Distribute 50+ flyers/menstrual health kits to underprivileged girls
4. Create safe spaces for girls to ask questions and openly discuss health challenges.
This will be in line with SDG 3, 4 & 5
