ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2025

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Breaking Barriers to Learning

The "Breaking Barriers to Learning" project focuses on addressing systemic challenges that limit children’s access to quality education, including poverty and gender inequality.

Target Audience:

-Children currently out of school: to provide them the opportunity to access quality education.
-Current school children: to encourage focus and motivate continued learning.

Outcomes & Reflections:

-Effective Awareness Campaign: Successfully conveyed the importance and value of quality education, resulting in increased engagement and motivation among the children.

-Targeted Resource Provision: Distribution of notebooks and stationery served as an affordable, tangible incentive, helping maintain the children’s interest and focus on learning.

About the Millennium Fellow

Dorothy Osahon is a young, smart and globally competitive medical student at the University of Benin, Nigeria. She is passionate about increased access to health care, education, women empowerment, and gender equality. This drive was evident in Dorothy's experiences and recognition globally and excellence in social action. She has successfully organised various health outreaches and advocacy campaigns to prevent spread of diseases in her office where she serves as the Chairperson of Standing Committee on Health and Environment, Federation of African Medical Students' Associations (SCOHE FAMSA). Her driving force is to create positive impact in the World.
