" Hardwork and the need to create health advocacy has also been my drive. I am committed to tasks and projects. Being a part of the Millennium Fellowship will help me grow the skills, and help me learn more, how to work collaboratively with not just members of this cohort. But also other members in my community who are passionate about social impacts. The skills gain from the Millennium Fellowship will make my social impacts on schools and communities more significant and done appropriately. Also it aligns with the UNAI and SDGs. I am excited and thankful to learn new ways, gain insights to influence positively. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The wellness program for growth

My project focused on educating both young and old about mental health. I visited primary and secondary schools, markets, and an orphanage to carry out this work. I reached out to many people, particularly the young and the elderly. For older adults, I emphasized the importance of hydration, proper nutrition, exercise, and speaking up about their mental health challenges. I also encouraged regular monitoring of blood pressure and sugar levels. For children and teens, I discussed the effects of bullying and negative self-talk, teaching them to affirm that they are strong, brave, and resilient. Additionally, I donated albendazole tablets to the Trinitarian Orphanage for a deworming exercise. Overall, the project combined mental health education with practical support through outreach in schools, markets, and the orphanage.
