United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Shecan

This project focuses on introducing secondary school female students to STEM through hands-on projects, aiming to spark interest and engagement in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The target audience is girls aged 12–15 in secondary schools. The project successfully brought STEM activities to participating schools, reaching numerous students. Careful planning enabled effective outreach, securing support from collaborators and school staff, and ensuring meaningful engagement with the girls.

About the Millennium Fellow

Gift Oguejiofor is an outstanding young and delightful person. She is currently an undergraduate student of the faculty of engineering in the university of Nigeria Nsukka. She has shown dedication in her school work and extracurricular activities. Gift has always been willing to help her society, she was also found doing the undareable, showing women and girls can do anything they dream of. She has shown this desire through all of our her high school days and even in her college years where she has always contributed in any given opportunity she has to help her communicating.
She aspires to be a professional in her field where she can contribute majorly to her society and in all contribute to the United Nations' Sustainable Goals
