" I am thrilled to be a Millennium Fellow because being a fellow provides me with a platform to turn my passion for combating antimicrobial resistance into real impact. AMR threatens the very foundation of global health and universal health coverage, and through this fellowship I can collaborate with young leaders on this same path, gain mentorship, and design innovative solutions that empower communities to use antibiotics responsibly. This opportunity fuels my commitment to safeguard public health in Nigeria and beyond. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Clean Hands, Clean Minds

Clean Hands, Clean Minds is a project focused on advocating for clean water and sanitation in schools within rural communities. It also promotes proper hygiene among school children as a key strategy for preventing infections and combating Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). The target audience is school children in rural areas who lack access to clean water and basic hygiene facilities. The project successfully reached a rural school, where children were educated about AMR, the importance of hygiene in preventing disease, and trained in the WHO-approved hand washing technique.
