United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Every Child Deserves to Learn

Every Child Deserves to Learn is a project led by Millennium Fellow
Runsewe Ololade Elizabeth, Millennium Fellow SOLARIN Temiloluwa Ibukunoluwa, Millennium Fellow Sogunwa Deborah Boluwatife and Millennium Fellow Onasanya Oluwafolakemi Esther that collaborates with a local orphanage home to provide quality education and promote good health among its residents. We will design a customized curriculum and conduct regular classes, supplemented with monthly health workshops and medical outreach programs.
Measurable Goals (August-December 2025):
1. Education:
- Conduct bi-weekly classes for 3 months, reaching a minimum of 20 students.
- Achieve a 50% increase in students' knowledge retention, measured through baseline and end-line assessments.
2. Health:
- Organize 3 health workshops, focusing on basic hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
- Provide medical check-ups and health screenings for at least 50% of the orphanage's residents.
3. Impact:
- Improve students' overall well-being and self-confidence, measured through surveys and feedback sessions.
- Increase community engagement and awareness about the importance of quality education and healthcare for vulnerable populations.

About the Millennium Fellow

Deborah Sogunwa is a dedicated physiology student at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Deborah also spent formative years studying at Mayflower School in Ogun State. Her passion lies in empowering youth and promoting quality education, particularly in underserved communities, aligning with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4). Through her academic pursuits and community engagement, Deborah strives to drive positive change and uplift the lives of those around her.
