University of Lagos | Lagos, Nigeria | Advancing SDG 3, SDG 3 & UNAI 6

" I'm excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it’s an opportunity to amplify my impact, collaborate with like-minded change makers, and learn from a global network committed to creating a better world. My work is rooted in my passion for empowering young people, especially girls, to reach their full potential. As a survivor of sexual abuse, I am deeply driven to create safe spaces, provide mentorship, and champion human rights. This Fellowship is a platform to sharpen my leadership, expand my reach, and turn ideas into solutions that transform lives and communities. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: FORTRESS
FORTRESS aligns with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, which seeks to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all. Many teenagers face challenges with personal hygiene and limited guidance on sexual health, making them vulnerable to preventable illnesses and risky behaviors. This project addresses these gaps by providing hygiene kits and educating adolescents on proper hygiene practices and sexual abstinence. By equipping them with both resources and knowledge, FORTRESS fosters healthier lifestyles, reduces exposure to infections, and empowers young people to make informed choices. Ultimately, it contributes to building a healthier, more resilient generation.
