United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Energy4all

Our project serves diverse groups across Lagos, Nigeria, with a focus on clean energy education, energy efficiency, and climate action. We work directly with:
Community members in rural and peri-urban Lagos neighborhoods
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) seeking cost-effective energy solutions
Students in various secondary schools (ages 10–18)
University students interested in renewable energy and sustainability leadership
Households adopting zero-emission lifestyles
Our goal is to empower these groups with practical knowledge, energy-saving tools, and climate-positive behaviors.

About the Millennium Fellow

Evro Evans is a dynamic and global minded Petroleum & Gas Engineering student at the University of Lagos, recognized for his leadership, innovation, and academic excellence. As Vice President II of the SPE UNILAG Student Chapter, he has organized impactful technical events, presented research at NAICE 2025 on machine learning in reservoir engineering and the role of natural gas in energy transition, and led multidisciplinary projects from MATLAB drilling applications to ocean-cleaning systems. Passionate about sustainable energy, technical advancement, and mentorship, Evro aims to bridge engineering innovation with energy policy, contributing to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and shaping Africa’s energy future.
