" “Since my secondary school days, I've been passionate about helping young people live purposefully and make a positive impact. The Millennium Fellowship excites me because it offers a platform to turn that passion into sustainable projects that promote health, education, and empowerment. I look forward to collaborating with fellow change makers to create solutions that align with the Sustainable Development Goals and transform communities for the better.” "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Kairos (Girls Vision for The Future)

Project Kairos was my Millennium Fellowship initiative built around the 2025 International Day of the Girl Child. The project focused on value, visibility, and voice affirming girls’ worth, addressing the barriers they face, and providing practical support that strengthened their well-being and future opportunities.
The project had three main components.
The first was a 3-day online sensitization campaign (Sept 29–Oct 1, 2025) which used flyers, videos, and engagement posts to highlight the value of the girl child, the inequalities they experience, and practical solutions communities can adopt.
The second was a school outreach held on the 29th of October 2025, where girls engaged in reflective conversations, received mentorship on identity and future potential, and learned about menstrual hygiene. At least 100 Vision & Self-Discovery Journals and 200 menstrual hygiene packs were distributed to reduce absenteeism, promote dignity, and help the girls reflect deeply on their strengths, aspirations, and long-term vision for the future.
The third component involved advocacy and documentation, including an advocacy video and partnerships with school counselors and community leaders to help sustain the impact beyond the Fellowship period.
Project Kairos advanced SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 5 (Gender Equality). The project reached at least 200 people online and directly impacted 200 girls physically through outreach, menstrual support, and self-development activities. Overall, Project Kairos empowered girls to recognize their value, embrace their potential, and contribute confidently to their communities.
