" I am passionate about children’s education and mindset shift because, along the way, people helped me realize that I was made for more than I once thought. With the right mentorship and resources, I believe I can also make a lasting impact in the lives of children. Through the Millennium Campus Fellowship, I see an opportunity to bring this passion to life. The skills I gain from the Fellowship will enable me to align my work with SDG-4 (Quality Education). I am also eager to learn from my campus fellows, drawing from the strength of our network to grow, collaborate, and make meaningful change. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Children Education and Mindset Shift

The project focused on Mindset Shift, complementing children’s education by inspiring them to dream bigger and believe in a better tomorrow. It targeted students in government-owned junior secondary schools, emphasizing that the foundation for a brighter future begins today. Through motivational sessions, the project encouraged children to cultivate positive thinking, set goals, and envision possibilities beyond their current circumstances. The initiative aimed to empower the next generation with the mindset needed to achieve personal and academic growth.

About the Millennium Fellow

Deborah Ajibola is a bright and promising medical student at the University of Ilorin with a passion for global change, especially in areas that concern children. She was born and currently resides in Nigeria.
Growing up, certain experiences shaped and continue to shape her perspective on how much impact one can create from even the smallest platforms, with effects that can ripple across the globe. She is constantly motivated by the belief that "if a man can change his mindset, he can change his realities".
This conviction drives her mission of catching them young and instilling the right mindset in children. Through one-on-one interactions, she has already shared this vision with individuals and inspired them, and now she is determined to extend this effort to schools around her. She believes that changing young minds today holds the power to shape the future of the world.
