United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Minds Initiative

The Green Minds Initiative (G.M.I.) is a project designed to foster a culture of sustainability at the University of Ilorin, making its primary focus align directly with SDG 13: Climate Action 🌍. The project aims to address climate change by raising environmental awareness and promoting actionable solutions. This directly supports the SDG 13 indicator to improve education, awareness-raising, and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, and early warning

About the Millennium Fellow

Odeyemi Folashade is a dedicated Mass Communication student at the University of Ilorin, from Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. Her deep commitment to the welfare of others led to her election as Welfare Secretary for the Association of Mass Communication Students. This passion for service isn't new; as a high school Senior Prefect, she organized a project to support a local orphanage. Folashade is known for her leadership and strong interpersonal skills. She has also recently developed a keen interest in climate change and its global impact, aspiring to a professional career where she can contribute to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
