The title of my project is Menstrual Equity. This project will involve my team members and I going to different schools to educate the girl child on personal hygiene and also on the use of menstrual pads during menstruation. The project will be self-funded but likewise, we will solicit for funding from individuals and organizations who are ready to donate to promote the aim of our project.
About the Millennium Fellow
Haroon Firdaus Opeyemi is a 300 level medical student at the university of Ilorin Nigeria. A student who has always been passionate about public health and an aspiring public health enthusiast. I have always wanted to help people live healthier lives. This made me join public health activities like volunteering with WHO ILUMSA Chapter on TB Day, working with POHEI, and going for rural health outreach. I care deeply about issues that affect women, especially their health and hygiene. My love for community service made me apply for the Millennium Fellowship, and I was accepted. I am ready to give my all, speak up, and take action to make a real difference in my community and the world.
