" Through my initiative, The Rising Circle, I work to fight inequality in education and other areas, giving young people the chance to reach their full potential. The Millennium Fellowship will help me grow my skills, meet other change makers, and make a bigger difference in the communities i find myself. I am excited to learn, work together, and create real solutions for a fairer and better world. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Girl Thrive Project

The Girl Thrive Project is an awareness and empowerment program that centers on Menstrual Health, Mental health and Career awareness. It targets female secondary school students in Kwara state between the age of 13 and 19. These are young girls who are just beginning to navigate puberty, identity, confidence, and their early dreams yet many of them do so with limited information and very little guidance.
We serve them because we believe that girls deserve more than silence around their bodies, more than shame around menstruation, and more than fear around their futures. We want them to feel seen, heard, and equipped to thrive in their body, mind, and future.
Key metrics for accomplishment 1. Created awareness about menstrual health and Career awareness.
2. Encourage a more open engagement on menstrual and reproductive health.
