" My educational pursuits and other personal projects stem from my passion for enhancing healthcare access and building healthier communities. I look forward to the Millennium Fellowship to being able to collaborate with other passionate peers, increase my leadership competencies, and put into practice creative community health projects. I expect that the fellowship will advance my ability to confront community health issues and the knowledge and connections that I will acquire will help me meet the public health challenges that I wish to tackle in line with the UNAI and the Sustainable Development Goals. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: EmpowerHer health
EmpowerHer Health is a project dedicated to supporting girls by providing them with sanitary pads and educating them about menstrual health. Many girls, especially in rural areas, miss school or face challenges during their periods because they cannot afford proper menstrual products or lack knowledge about managing their periods safely. This project addresses these issues by ensuring they have access to hygiene products and the information they need to take care of themselves.
