" I'm excited to be a Millennium Fellow because I believe, regardless of background, every person is made for more. True change starts when people are empowered to rise above their limitations. As Barbara Gittings said, " Equality means more than just passing laws, the struggle is really won in the hearts and minds of the community." And that is where I strive to make impact. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Made for More

About This project seeks to shape students most importantly those in disadvantaged communities and build them up to be change-makers in their community and the world at large. That beyond the circumstances surrounding them as well as their past experiences or traumas, they can dare to dream big and make something meaningful out of life. In Nigeria, rural areas bear the highest rate of poverty and poor educational standards which we believe is a disadvantage. We are concerned about the holistic build up of these students such that key areas of physical well being, intellectual development, social development, personal growth, career development, leadership development, creativity and innovation as well as community service are duly attended to so they can effectively excel all round, while navigating the dynamic challenges that will arise in their journey towards becoming change-makers. Since every child doesn't get the opportunity to choose where they are born, we want to offer them the opportunity to choose a future not dictated by the predicament of their environment. Means: Education, Awareness and Mentorship Conclusion: We believe this project will bridge the inequality gap between students in these less disadvantaged communities and those in better developed and equipped communities.
