" "I believe knowledge is power, and access to the right information can save lives. The Millennium Fellowship will help me amplify my efforts to fight health misinformation, break stigma, and equip young people with the tools to make healthier choices. This aligns deeply with my passion for education and the Sustainable Development Goals." "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Breaking The Silence
"Breaking the Silenceā is a health-education initiative focused on empowering senior secondary school girls with accurate information about sexual and reproductive health. The project addresses harmful myths, stigma, and the culture of silence that puts many young people at risk of abuse, unsafe practices, and preventable health challenges. Through school outreach sessions, the project teaches students about body autonomy, boundaries, STI prevention, menstrual health, and how to seek help safely. The goal is to promote informed decision-making, self-protection, and confidence, especially for girls in under-resourced public schools.
