Millennium Fellowship Project: EmpowerHer health
EmpowerHer Health is a project dedicated to supporting girls by providing them with sanitary pads and educating them about menstrual health. Many girls, especially in rural areas, miss school or face challenges during their periods because they cannot afford proper menstrual products or lack knowledge about managing their periods safely. This project addresses these issues by ensuring they have access to hygiene products and the information they need to take care of themselves.
About the Millennium Fellow
Sigbenu James Avwerosuo is a young vibrant, intelligent and hardworking final year Medical Laboratory Science student at the University of Ilorin, College of health science. James is from Delta state and he resides in Udu Local government. James is an Urhobo and both parents are Urhobo, he has five siblings.
He is a student politician who has contributed immensely to the growth of his students association (NIMELSSA UNILORIN), he has served in various capacities right from 100 level and currently serving as a senator representing his faculty (Basic Clinical Science) at the student union level.
He's a public speaker and a volunteer, very passionate about student growth and welfarism, He is always ready to listen and help any student in need or facing difficult situations in their academics as long it's within his reach.
James love to paint and drive, he also loves listening to good musics.
