Millennium Fellowship Project: Keep Clean and Habitable
Project Aquarius/ keep clean and habitable is a project that focuses on enlightening and providing proper knowledge about clean water, water purification, hygiene and sanitation practices including the dangers of open defecation. Moreso, the project initiated a move for change against practices such as open defecation in the community.The project was a success because of the good synergy between team members. Teamwork made the project easy and our goals achievable.
The project planned more events but couldn't carry out because of some challenges such as funds appropriate timing.
About the Millennium Fellow
Joshua Adamu Haruna is a purpose driven, result oriented medical student at College of Medical sciences University of Maiduguri. He is passionate about making a difference in his society through social impact. He is concerned about issues of public health and public enlightenment. Years back, he volunteered as a laboratory assistant in a Primary Health Centre in his locality for six months. He also volunteered to teach during evening classes to secondary school students for three months. He has participated in various outreach programs including health awareness, sanitation and hygiene campaign, and free medical outreaches.
Joshua looks forward to a professional career in the future and has been committed to professional and personal development.
