Millennium Fellowship Project: Career Re-Defined Summit
Career ReDefined Summit: Thriving Beyond Your Certificate The summit was organized to address the challenges students face in navigating modern career pathways. The summit aimed to expand students’ awareness of diverse career options, increase participation in global development opportunities, and highlight the skills needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world of work. Through expert talks, workshops, and interactive sessions, participants gained insights into personal development, professional growth, and practical strategies to thrive beyond academic qualifications, empowering them to make informed decisions and pursue meaningful, impactful careers.
About the Millennium Fellow
Mary Samuel Garba is a 22 year old Nigerian. Born in Maiduguri, Borno state, Nigerian, and since then have spent most of her life there. She grew up in a society where people do not believe in change but hope that someone, somewhere will bring change to them. But Mary understood this 2 things, that she could be anything she wants to be and her society can be whatever she want it to be. Mary is passionate about making positive change, like encouraging young girls to desire to build a career as they decide to build their homes by organizing career programs for young girls in her church. She also volunteer in educational outreach organized by her church and offering maths lessons at home. She is has been looking forward to make positive change. she is excited do do that with the support of this fellowship.
