United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Career Re-Defined Summit

Career ReDefined Summit: Thriving Beyond Your Certificate The summit was organized to address the challenges students face in navigating modern career pathways. The summit aimed to expand students’ awareness of diverse career options, increase participation in global development opportunities, and highlight the skills needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world of work. Through expert talks, workshops, and interactive sessions, participants gained insights into personal development, professional growth, and practical strategies to thrive beyond academic qualifications, empowering them to make informed decisions and pursue meaningful, impactful careers.

About the Millennium Fellow

Dido Niri Iliya is a passionate nursing student at the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria, and the visionary behind RootImpact Initiative, a community-driven project focused on empowering underserved populations through health education and advocacy. Born and raised in Nigeria, Dido has consistently demonstrated leadership in public health campaigns, environmental sanitation drives, and youth mentorship. His work is deeply rooted in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Clean Water and Sanitation, Good Health and Well-being, and Quality Education. With a commitment to service, Dido aspires to become a global health leader, driving impact through innovation, advocacy, and community engagement.
