United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Career Re-Defined Summit

Career ReDefined Summit: Thriving Beyond Your Certificate The summit was organized to address the challenges students face in navigating modern career pathways. The summit aimed to expand students’ awareness of diverse career options, increase participation in global development opportunities, and highlight the skills needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world of work. Through expert talks, workshops, and interactive sessions, participants gained insights into personal development, professional growth, and practical strategies to thrive beyond academic qualifications, empowering them to make informed decisions and pursue meaningful, impactful careers.

About the Millennium Fellow

Patience Joshua Bwala is a strong, caring, humble, resilient and strong willed girl that has always being passionate about people well being, mental health and justice to those denied. She was born in Maiduguri, resides in Maiduguri, Schooling at University of Maiduguri, Borno state but certainly want to not just impact Maiduguri but the whole world and Indeed Millennium Fellowship is giving her the chance to make a global impact. From Secondary School, she has always been passionate about the sustainable development goals even before she knew it as a concept, contributing her quota to the young farmers club, helping the sick and fighting for the right of the bullied in school even though her herself was once bullied. She believes strongly that all humans should be treated with respect and kindness, and also always available to teach anyone whatever she knows and how she thinks.
