" I'm excited at the chance to join this global network of great minds because I see it as a chance to grow, learn and amplify impact while working with like minded people to create sustainable changes and improve lives. I also see it as a chance to put my school out there more. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: ReproHealth
ReproHealth is a project brought up by my friend and I. This project is gender based and the sole aim is to reach out to young girls particularly secondary school girls to educate them about their reproductive health and general well being. Topics like cancer, Human Papillomavirus, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Saying No to Abortion, hygiene and other related topics will be treated. This project is of interest to me particularly due to the high cases of teenage pregnancies, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, post abortion infections that I get to see as a medical student in my course of learning. The plan is to educate young girls at this growing phase where they are at the risk of exploring a lot of vices that can present them in the clinics with this aforementioned cases. This is a way of broadening young girls knowledge about their bodies, the changes that occur in it, how to adapt to the changes and also how to not lose themselves to these changes.
