I hope to receive mentorship and training on social impact, sustainability, gain a global network of young leaders and also access resources and guidance to make the healthcare initiatives more sustainable, impactful and measurable. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: My Mind and Me

My mind and Me is a project that seeks to address the mental health challenges faced by members of our community. In Nigeria, mental health is a topic that has quite the 'pariah' reputation. The culture is the stay strong and smiling in the face of any adversity. This culture can be quite toxic and I would to address this and create awareness. We will plan two events. In the first one, we plan to go to secondary schools to raise awareness and teach kids the importance of speaking up. The second is to visit the university of Uyo teaching hospital, where o currently study in. We will visit the mental health department and talk to the patients and doctors there. With this, we can open our minds to the challenges most patients face as they go about their daily lives.
