United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Edureformers

Edureformers is an innovative mobile-first digital ecosystem designed to creates a supportive student community, connecting learners with mentors, career guidance, and step-by-step application help. We use campus resources, webinars, and professional partnerships to give learners the tools we need to succeed includes Funding, SA partnerships, app testing.

About the Millennium Fellow

Shirinda Ntshovelo is a dedicated and ambitious Environmental Science student at the University of Venda, specializing in Disaster Risk Reduction. Born in Malamulele and residing in Mulamula Village, Shirinda has developed a deep understanding of the challenges faced by rural communities in the face of disasters. Through her academic pursuits she leverages her intelligence, eagerness to learn and opportunistic approach to tackle complex challenges and seize opportunities for growth. With a strong passion for mitigating the impact of disasters on vulnerable populations, Shirinda is committed to making a positive difference. Through her academic pursuits, she aims to equip herself with the knowledge and skills necessary to advocate for those who lack the resources to prepare for and respond to disasters. Upon graduating, Shirinda plans to continue her advocacy work, empowering communities to build resilience and reduce their risk to disasters. Her ultimate goal is to create a safer and more sustainable future for all, particularly those in underserved communities.
