Nnamdi Azikiwe University Nnewi | Nnewi, Nigeria | Advancing SDG 3, SDG 4 & UNAI 3

" In line with the UNAI and SDGs,I've learnt that human interactions have to be geared to bring out the best in us,I saw wonderful initiatives out up by Millennium Fellowship alumni in different fields and I plan to do even greater things under this umbrella.
My experiences as a medical student have shown how tedious the society at large views mental health and the stigmata all around it.
I hope that with the skills and mentorship, partnered with my laid out plan,I'll be able to excel in the area of bringing mental health to the people, and helping them understand what it means "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health; Effects on the Medical community.
This project focuses on creating awareness about mental health, addressing the stigma around it, and helping people clearly understand what mental health means before encouraging them to care for it.
A three-day webinar was organized on the effects of mental health on the medical community, including practical solutions and shared experiences on how to manage mental health challenges. The project serves the medical community, including doctors, medical students, and other medical professionals, and helps them understand that medicine is not always easy and that mental health is essential to sustaining the profession and personal well-being.
About the Millennium Fellow
My name is Ndubueze chijioke,a 400 level student, studying medicine and surgery at Nnamdi Azikiwe university.
I was born in 2004,and I currently reside in Nnewi.
Growing up,I've always wanted to understand how the human mind works,I've been fascinated with why we act the way we do and what makes us better and how we can use that.
In medical school,I've been depressed, helped others in depression and tried being a shining light to those around me.this fellowship takes my journey to the next level as I get to work with cohorts, receive mentorships and grow to the best of my abilities.
To the journey ahead, the millennium development goals serve as a guiding light,I'm really happy to be here and hope I can serve to the best of my ability
