Millennium Fellowship Project: BloomHER
This project is centered on female sexual and reproductive health and rights. It will involve reaching out to females of different age groups (10-19) and (45-55), enlightening them on the sexual and reproductive health issues peculiar to their age group. For the teenagers and adolescents, a visit to a secondary school where an active orientation program surrounding the importance of proper menstrual hygiene and other health-related topics would be discussed. In this program, basic female menstrual kits would be distributed as a form of empowerment. As regards older women, a health talk targeting menopausal and postmenopausal events associated with, would be explained. We intend to go to a market or any other gathering or location, like a church, that would involve a great number of these women aged between 45 and 55.
