" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it offers a platform to merge my passion for law with my love for humanity, advancing UN SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions by transforming ideas into actions that promote fairness, accountability, and meaningful change. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Prison Visitation Group Project
Our prison visitation project is built on the belief that every life deserves dignity, hope, and a second chance. During our visits, we offer emotional support, educational guidance, and legal awareness. We bring essential items to meet their basic need.
Through this project, our mission is to restore confidence in people who feel forgotten and open doors to justice, healing, and a better future.
About the Millennium Fellow
Onwe Michelle Amaka is a Nigerian law student and inspiring advocate whose passion for justice is rooted in her love for humanity. Born in Lagos, she views law not just as an academic pursuit but as a powerful tool for societal transformation. Guided by empathy, she connects deeply with people, understanding the unspoken and nurturing a vision to one day stand for those whose voices go unheard. Her goal is to strengthen accountability, eliminate injustice, and drive lasting change. Beyond law, Michelle expresses her creativity through music, poems, and write-ups, believing that advocacy and art together can inspire and heal.
