United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: THRIVE WITHIN

The ‘ THRIVE WITHIN ‘
The main objective of this project will simply be
bridging the gap between imagination and reality.
This will promote mental health awareness
among individuals,breaking the stigma that
surrounds mental health and enable youths to
free open up with mental health discussions the
project will be highly focused on individuals from
14-25 years old not forgetting students and high
school pupils.
The project is planned to be hosting mental
health workshops and social media campaigns
on mental health with a different approach that
will make it interesting like adding it in form of
games and magnetic activities to grab the
attention of the target audience from 14-25 years
old.
This will cover real life stories events and inviting
professionals to tackle and give an immense
view of what mental health really is.
Support and guidance will be provided by work in
hand with organizations specialized in the
field.This will include guidance and counseling to
help the youths.
The project's goal or outcome is to increase
awareness on mental health through practical
ways,enhancing the connections and networking
with mental health organizations,advocates and
professionals to fully equip people and increase
the level of mental health literacy

About the Millennium Fellow

Gabriel Banda, a 21-year-old male, is a second-year Animal Science student at the University of Zambia under the School of Agriculture. He is also a mentor, health advocate, and counselor with a strong passion for community development. Gabriel holds a diploma in Human Rights and Social Justice, a diploma in Diversity Development, and a diploma in Business Communication. Additionally, he possesses certificates in Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, and several other professional qualifications, reflecting his commitment to personal growth and societal impact.
