Millennium Fellowship Project: For Her
For Her is an independent project led by Millennium Fellow Agnes Maureen and it focuses on the health and well being of pregnant African women before, during and after their journey to deliver and bring life into the world. The goal is to ensure that no woman of color has to die because she is giving life and to ensure equal access to resources, medication, doctors and health services no matter the class, age, background or professions.
About the Millennium Fellow
Agnes Maureen Odhiambo is a young and very energetic medical student at the University of Nairobi and has just completed her 4th year of study. She has always been passionate about making a difference in the lives of the people around her and alleviate suffering which explains why she chose the medical profession. This has led her to be part of numerous movements in the hope of gaining the right expertise and skill set in order to spearhead one of her own. She hopes that the Millennium Fellowship program will be the stepping stone she needs to propel this dream to a reality.
